C16-3 EMI Connectors combine the advantages of metal and plastic in one product.
 The new carbon fibre filled plastic material shows very good EMI shielding abilities and therefore can be used in applications that were so far only considered for metal connectors. The new plastic material uses built in fibres to achieve the shielding performance.
Major benefits are lower cost and weight reduction compared to full metal connectors with equal shielding characteristics. The housing shows good conductive performance and also a great durability for harsh environment applications. The lightweight connectors are IP65 rated and are therefore protected against dust and splash water. In long term testing the C16-3 EMI connector showed its ability to handle intensive temperature, damp heat cycles and also corrosion resistance in salt spray testing. The connectors handle current up to 30A and are offered in many different contact layouts. |
