Raychem Product Manager:: Corporate Headquarters, New Jersey

Powell Electronics has an opening for a Raychem Product Manager. A complete and in-depth knowledge of all Raychem and other shrink, moldable shape and wire products is required. The successful candidate will have several years of experience, a firm grasp of all Raychem applications, and an intimate understanding of the market and the competition. Duties and expectations are as follows:

  • Continue to develop and promote Powell’s position as a Raychem market leader
  • Gain substantive additional market share for Powell
  • Provide technical support for Sales and assist is new design development
  • Asset (inventory) management
  • Keep sales teams trained and informed on all Raychem Products
  • Maximize profitability

Additional qualifications include:

  • Proven written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft office
  • College degree and professional certification a plus
  • SAP software knowledge a big plus
  • Sales experience preferred

Materials Logistics Manager :: Corporate Headquarters, New Jersey

Powell Electronics is currently searching for a knowledgeable, motivating manager who possesses a degree in Mathematics or Statistics and is trained in Materials Management SAP, or has three or more years experience with designing, implementing, and executing SAP MRP programs to support a distribution enterprise.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a broad knowledge of Microsoft data management tools. Must be team-oriented and be able to lead teams of operations, marketing and MIS employees to promote the use of advanced logistics achieving the company’s highest level of customer service and inventory asset turns. Previous experience with SAP, ABAP or Cognos is a real plus.

Inside Sales :: North America :: Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Seattle, Huntsville, Orlando, Philadelphia and Boston

Powell Electronics’ is searching for experienced Inside Sales Representatives with electronics parts sales background.   Must be a very good communicator, have the skills required to learn and be successful in this very demanding and fast-paced position. 

Major tasks include:

  • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
  • Makes outbound lead followup calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Builds and maintains customers’ relationships.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into SAP database.
  • Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.

Engineering and Applications Specialist :: Midwest Corridor

In order to combine front-end sales efforts with product diversity growth, the Midwest region would like to initiate a “shared” resource program utilizing an Engineering & Applications Specialist. The position would require on-going education of products, product applications, and customer contracts/projects. We would utilize the strengths and technical competence in offering engineering solutions to our customer’s design groups and combine with and followed up by the field sales through the customer’s purchasing group. Also this position would provide technical training and product updates to Powell associates. This resource would be utilized and shared by the entire Midwest Corridor (Powell Dallas and Powell Chicago).
